SYNOPSIS.

 HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ACT 1966: What Should We Know.

Housing Development Act 1966 (HDA1966) was designed and created to protect the interest of the homebuyers. It was a response to varies issues and cases relating to housing development where the homebuyers were being taken advantages by non-responsible developers and get away with it.

So how can architects and inspector of works play their roles in ensuring the homebuyers won’t be cheated again? What are the provisions under the Act that allow us protect the interest of the homebuyers? Will the developers be taken legal action should they decide to dismiss findings on non-compliance by the architects or IOW?

This seminar will guide the audiences not just on their roles and responsibilities to their superior, but also their moral duties to the homebuyers.

 

TRAINER BACKGROUND.

Ar. Azizul Azwar bin Abd Aziz is a registered Architect with Board or Architect Malaysia (BAM) and Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM). Previously he works with architecture consultant firm (Era 3 Architects Sdn. Bhd.), Jabatan Kerja Raya, developer (Liendak Holdings Sdn. Bhd.) and Project Management Consultants (KLCC Projeks Sdn. Bhd.) attached with developer (Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd.) in Putrajaya. To-date, he has completed more than 1,000 houses either apartment or landed.

Currently he established his own architecture firm under the style of sole-prop; Azizul Azwar Architect since 2018 and he is also one of the Director at IPM Professional Services Sdn. Bhd.; a multi-disciplinary practice since 2020.

Beside work, he is also an active educator through social media and classes, and have been mentoring future architects in preparation for architecture professional exam.

With his vast experience in work and educator relevant to housing development, he has what it takes to guide the participant to understand the overall concept of the topics given.
